Absolute Haitian exhibits at Plast-Ex 2019
Spotlights unique features of Zeres electric injection molding machine
Worcester, Massachusetts (June 4, 2019) – Absolute Haitian, the exclusive distributor of Haitian and Zhafir injection molding machines in Canada and the U.S., is reaching out to Canadian molders with a presence at Plast-Ex 2019 in Booth #503. The exhibition, part of the Advanced Design & Manufacturing (ADM) trade show, takes place from June 4 – 6, 2019 at the Toronto Congress Centre.
On display will be the popular Zeres electric injection molding machine with integrated hydraulics. The ZE 1200/300 (135 U.S. tons of clamp force and 4.73 ounce shot capacity) will run a 16-cavity connector mold made from high-density polypropylene. The Zeres Series is available in model sizes from 44 to 1,551 U.S. tons.
The process for molding the plumbing connector gives show attendees the opportunity to see intrusion injection along with dual stroke ejection of the parts. The unique integrated hydraulic circuit on the Zeres machines allow molders to operate ejectors, core pull, carriage movement and valve gates (which are an option) without an external hydraulic power pack (typically required by all-electric machines), saving floor space and the cost of the external hydraulics. This opens possibilities for molders who prefer electric machines but need hydraulics to operate, for instance, core pull.
The integrated hydraulic interface (circuit) is installed on the moving platen and provides more flow and increased pressure compared to external power pack solutions. Pressure and flow rates are adjustable via the machine’s controller. Software is included to control up to three hydraulic circuits.
Pricing for the Zeres electric molding machine is approximately 10 percent lower than an all-electric solution but with the same level of precision and repeatability of an all-electric, creating a strong value proposition for molders. Sales of the Zeres Series has more than doubled in the U.S. and Canada in the past two years. Haitian now has an installed base of more than 3,000 electric Zeres and all-electric Venus molding machines worldwide.
