Absolute Haitian and its sister companies completed the 2021 racing season as the primary sponsor of SPM Motorsports, a stock car racing business owned by Absolute employees Stuart, Steven and Scott McCarthy.
On warm summer nights with the roar of stock cars in the air, the McCarthy family could be found at Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, CT or other nearby tracks. SPM Motorsports was founded by their father and when they were young, Stu and Steve were drivers. Now, the third generation is behind the wheel with Steve’s 22-year-old son Michael and Stu’s 15-year-old son Daltin handling the driving.
The team manufactures their own chassis for the Absolute-sponsored car, with a Monte Carlo-style roof and underhood powered by a Chevrolet engine.
“Sponsorship advertising is a necessity for our racing program to move forward and be competitive. We appreciate that Absolute is a part of this family business,” said Stu McCarthy.
